DONATE FOOD

 

CORA accepts donations of canned goods and other non-perishable items. We also distribute fresh fruits and vegetables when available. Please see the list of our most-needed items below. Food donations should be brought to the food pantry during our operating hours (10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., Monday thru Friday) at 40 Camp Drive in Pittsboro. Please call ahead if you are bringing a donation weighing 100 pounds or more.

Especially needed items:
(Items must be unopened and not out of date.)

  • Canned Salmon – 14.75 oz.
  • Canned Ham – 1 lb.
  • Soups: Chicken Noodle, Cream of Chicken, Other Chicken and Beef Soups, Chowders – 10.75 – 20 oz.z
  • Canned Fruit: light syrup or natural fruit juices – 15 – 20 oz.
  • Canned Beans: Kidney, Black & Black Eye – 15 – 16 oz.
  • Dried Beans: Black and Black Eye – 1 lb.
  • Canned Vegetables: Collard Greens, Mixed Greens, Tomatoes, Potatoes – 14.25 – 20 oz .
  • All Purpose Baking Mix - 2 lb. 8 oz.
  • Maseca Corn Flour - 4.4 lb.
  • Corn Meal – 2 lb.
  • Boxed Cereals: healthy, low sugar varieties – 14 – 18 oz.
  • Pasta: Mac & Cheese and other pasta varieties – 1 lb.
  • Grits – 1 lb. 2 oz.

PLEASE! NO GLASS CONTAINERS!
NO PET FOOD! NO BABY FOOD!
