Community food drives form a major component of the food
supplies we provide to families in need.Most food drives are held during the
autumn and holiday seasons and CORA’s storerooms are usually full to brimming
in early January. However, by March or early April, this abundance grows thin,
and we rely on food purchases for most of what we hand out.
The need for emergency food support extends year round.
During the summer months when school lunches
are unavailable, food support is even more pressing for needy families.
This makes spring and summer food drives an
increasingly important source of food for CORA.
You can help. If you or your organization would like to host
a food drive, please contact our office at 545-3030 and ask for Food Drive
information. You can also contact our Food Drive Team Leader Don DeVore at
444-9137.
