CORA is growing our staff team as we prepare for expand our operations to include a second pantry location in Siler City. We are hiring for two positions, a Pantry Manager for Siler City and a Pantry Assistant / Driver who will support operations at both locations.
Pantry Manager for Siler City: Full Time
This role oversees pantry operations, including facilities, inventory, logistics, and volunteer management. The Pantry Manager ensures food safety and compliance with Food Bank of Central and Eastern NC standards while fostering positive relationships with community partners.
Key responsibilities include managing day-to-day pantry operations, maintaining Siler City-based facilities and assets, recruiting and retaining volunteers, engaging in community outreach, and supporting CORA’s mission to fight hunger in Chatham County.
Candidates must be fluent in Spanish. Candidates should have excellent written and verbal communication skills and be able to represent CORA professionally. Candidates must also be comfortable working independently while juggling and prioritizing a variety of tasks. Candidates must also be able to perform a variety of physical tasks such as lifting 40+ pounds and/or standing for long periods of time. A college degree along with retail and/or food service experience is preferred. CORA provides excellent benefits. The hiring range for this position is $48,000+

Pantry Assistant / Driver: Full Time
Key Responsibilities include receiving and tracking food donations and inventory, distributing food, ensuring food safety and compliance, and collaborating with volunteers, donors, and clients to foster a positive environment. This role will also involve driving one of CORA’s box trucks from time to time. No CDL is required.
Proficiency in Spanish is required. The ideal candidate will be familiar with Siler City and western Chatham County communities, possess strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills, have the ability to lift 50–75 lbs., and work in a fast-paced environment. A high school diploma along with previous warehouse, food service, and/or retail experience is preferred. The ability to operate warehouse equipment (forklift, stacker, pallet jack) is a plus. This is an on-site role requiring some evening or weekend work. CORA offers excellent benefits. The hiring range for this position will start at $40,000 per year.
