Empty Bowls 2025!

Posted on: February 17, 2025

CORA’s 13th annual Empty Bowls fundraiser will be held on March 22nd, 5-8 pm at Pittsboro UMC’s Family Life Center. At Empty Bowls, guests enjoy a delicious dinner featuring soup tastings from many local restaurants, spend a fun evening in fellowship with other supporters, and go home with a beautiful piece of handmade local pottery as a reminder of the empty bowls they help fill for neighbors in need. 100% of the proceeds from Empty Bowls will help provide nutritious foods to community members facing food insecurity.

This year’s event will feature live music from the Popcorn Blue Band, a 50/50 raffle, and a program featuring exciting CORA updates and a brand new video including real stories of families you’ve helped. The event will also include a “Fund-A-Need” opportunity to support CORA during the event. Guests will have the opportunity to make a direct and meaningful impact by contributing to CORA’s efforts to fight food insecurity. Every dollar raised will help expand our programs, provide nutritious food to more families, and ensure that no neighbor goes hungry.

If you’ve been to Empty Bowls last year, this year will be a little different! We are hosting one single sitting from 5-8 pm, rather than the two seating times of previous years. This year’s event will be longer and more relaxed, with more opportunities to mingle with fellow supporters and learn about the latest news from CORA!
