Over the past year, CORA has seen the community come together and help our most vulnerable neighbors facing hunger. Thanks to the vision, generosity, and hard work of thousands of individuals, businesses, churches, and organizations, CORA is making an impact on those experiencing food insecurity in Chatham County.
One shining example of this inspiring support is the Carolina Meadows community. Each spring, residents come together and host an annual fundraising drive; this year they raised more than $42,000! In addition, Carolina Meadows has been by our side during the pandemic by supplying hundreds of shopping bags that are packed with food for families and delivered curbside. We are so fortunate to have Carolina Meadow’s steadfast support as we see an increase in need across the community.
