Dear <<First Name>>,

Happy New Year to each and every one of you!  It's my fervent hope that 2019 will be a wonderful and prosperous year for all us, and most especially for CORA as we strive to meet our mission to create a community without hunger.

I'm sure everything you're reading this month has a "new year - new you" theme, and this will be no different.  CORA, by the end of 2019, will look brand new.  We're working on a new website and logo to help us "re-brand" as we prepare for the move into our new building.  Rebecca and I are connecting with new partners and funders about opportunities that have the potential to help us to serve the community in new and more effective ways.  The board will be meeting in March to re-evaluate and update our strategic plan so that we can prepare for, communicate, and manage the organizational changes that will take place over the course of the next year. Don't worry, I'll keep you informed about our decisions!

CORA is also recruiting new board members and will soon hire a new volunteer coordinator.  I will be heavily involved in both of these processes and am especially looking forward to introducing a new volunteer coordinator into a new volunteer advisory committee.  Hilary Murray and I are working to form the volunteer advisory committee and will work to further engage CORA's numerous dedicated volunteers in interesting and fulfilling ways.

Alas, as with all new endeavors, we know there will be hiccups and bumps along the way.  We appreciate your patience and support as we keep moving forward.  Thank you for all that you do and all that you've done to support CORA over the years - and hold onto your hats - it's a new year!

Sincerely,

Melissa Driver Beard
Executive Director
