After nearly six impactful years, CORA’s final Mobile Market in Siler City will take place on June 24, 2025. It is a bittersweet milestone as we prepare to close this chapter, but also an exciting one as we move toward something even more powerful for our neighbors in western Chatham County.
We launched the Mobile Market in Siler City in October 2019 with a clear goal: to bring healthy, nutritious food directly to those who need it most. Since then, we have served more than 45,000 people and provided over 962,000 meals through this location. That is nearly a million meals distributed with care, compassion, and dignity.
This success belongs to our incredible volunteers, staff, donors, partners, and most of all, the resilient families who placed their trust in us each month.
While we are concluding our Mobile Market operations in Siler City, we are thrilled to share that a new Choice Pantry will open in July 2025. This pantry will allow families to select the foods that best suit their preferences and needs, offering greater flexibility and dignity in how they access nutritious food.
At the same time, we are actively exploring ways to expand our Mobile Markets into additional communities where access to food remains a challenge. We look forward to sharing more about these exciting developments in the coming months.
We are deeply grateful to everyone who made the Siler City Mobile Market a success. This is not an ending, but a transformation. Thank you for being part of this journey.
