We want to introduce you to two of our partners in building a community without hunger in Chatham County, Pittsboro Eats and Good Bowls. Pittsboro Eats is a group of like-minded people who love their locally-owned, independent restaurants and are committed to helping them thrive. Good Bowls is a Chapel Hill-based company that makes healthy frozen meals built on the Mediterranean diet.
Together these two groups are supporting local restaurants and people in our community who are facing food insecurity and in need of a healthy meal through their “Pay-It-Forward”
In March, they wrapped up their spring campaign, and with help from Postal Fish Company, they made 651 bowls for those facing hunger in our community. The bowls were delivered to CORA and Community in Schools Chatham for distribution to children and families.
We are excited to see this partnership grow! The “Pay-It-Forward” campaign is a great way to get nutrient-dense and healthy food to local families facing hunger and help to keep the doors open at local restaurants.
Learn more about how Good Bowls and Pittsboro Eats are working with local restaurants, chefs, and nonprofits to provide healthy meals to those facing hunger in Chatham County.
