In 1989, ten local organizations came together with a shared belief that no one in our community should go hungry. That belief became CORA, and it continues to guide our work every day.
The Tenfold Society honors those who carry that same commitment forward. These are individuals who choose to invest not only in today’s needs, but in the long-term strength and well-being of our community. Through planned giving, you can help ensure that CORA remains a place of hope, dignity, and care for every neighbor facing food insecurity, not just today, but for generations to come.
Planned giving is a powerful way to say: this work matters, this community matters, and I want to be part of what comes next.
What is Planned Giving?
A planned gift is any gift that you arrange now, but that takes effect in the future, most often through your estate. It allows you to make a meaningful contribution to CORA without affecting your finances today. Common planned gifts include:
- A bequest in your will or living trust
- Naming CORA as a beneficiary of a retirement account, life insurance policy, or commercial annuity
- A charitable gift annuity or charitable remainder trust
We encourage you to speak with your attorney or financial adviser to explore which option is right for you. CORA is happy to provide information to support those conversations.
Who Can Join?
Any individual who has included CORA in their estate plan or made another form of planned gift is welcome to join the Tenfold Society. There is no minimum gift amount. What matters is the intention: a commitment to CORA’s future and to the neighbors we serve.
When you make a planned gift to CORA, you have the option to direct it toward a specific program or area of our work. You are also welcome to leave your gift unrestricted. Unrestricted planned gifts give CORA the flexibility to respond to the community’s most pressing needs, and they are among the most powerful expressions of trust a donor can offer. Whatever you choose, we will make sure your generosity lands exactly where you intend.
What does Membership Include?
As a member of the Tenfold Society, you will receive:
- A personal welcome from CORA’s leadership team
- Twice-yearly updates on CORA’s programs, vision, and the impact your legacy is helping to make possible
- Early ticket sale access to Empty Bowls
- An invitation to our annual Donor Appreciation Breakfast
