Help us get ready to open the doors of CORA’s new choice food pantry in Siler City by joining our Fill the Pantry food drive on Tuesday, July 29, from 10 AM – 6 PM.
We’re partnering with local grocery stores to collect much-needed shelf-stable pantry staples that will help stock the shelves of this new CORA Food Pantry location, set to serve over 1,000 families and respond to 21,000 requests for food assistance in its first year.
Most-Needed Items:
Canned fruits and vegetables
Canned meats and tuna
Rice, pasta, and pasta sauce (please no glass jars)
Peanut butter and jelly
Cereal and oatmeal

Find CORA’s volunteers collecting donations in front of the store. Donate at any of the following stores:
Food Lion at Briar Chapel
Food Lion at Governors Club
Lowes Foods of Pittsboro
Why It Matters:
Over the past year, CORA has seen a 20% increase in need across Chatham County. The new pantry in Siler City will allow us to serve more neighbors closer to home, with the choice, respect, and nutrition every family deserves.

This is a perfect opportunity for individuals, families, civic clubs, faith groups, and teens to get involved and make a big impact. Volunteers will:
Volunteer shifts are just 2 hours, and all supplies will be provided. You’ll leave knowing you helped open a pantry ready to serve our neighbors with dignity and compassion.
